Have you always wanted to see the Northern Lights? Ihave! It’s on my bucket list. I traveled to Iceland earlier this year to try and see them, but we weren’t so lucky. I will have to try again. Maybe next time in Scandinavia? Never been there!
Alright, so here’s the deal: I recently heard about Norwegian Air Shuttle, a low cost airline based in Europe. They operate flights from NYC and LA to Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and London, among other places. Travelzoo just published information about a WinterFare Sale. Naturally, I looked it up. NYC to Oslo? $301.50 round-trip including taxes and fees for the end of January. WHAT. You can also look up dates in Feb/Mar–PRIME NORTHERN LIGHTS TIME. The catch? There’s a small surcharge for using a credit card (no charge to use your debit card), as well as fees for meals, checked baggage, and seat selection. That would hardly stop me! I’m tempted to go for Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. Anyone want to come with me?!? Check it out.
While you’re at it, check out Norwegian Air’s website for more cheap fares out of NYC.
