Featured Photo: Annecy, France
When I was studying abroad in college, I got to travel on the weekends to different parts of Europe. One of my favorite places is Annecy, a small, quaint town in the Haute-Savoie region of France, not too far away from Grenoble. I had actually traveled here before one summer during High School and even went paragliding over the area from the mountain above (you must do this). This time, it was snowing really hard, and we couldn’t even SEE the nearby lake because of the fog. Nevertheless, we had a great time walking through the market, stopping into a cafe for a hot chocolate, eating an amazing lunch at a French restaurant (imagine melted raclette cheese over french bread, potatoes, and various meats), taking a walking tour of the city, hiking up to the chateau, almost getting struck by an umbrella falling from the sky…. etc, etc. J’adore la France.
