WOW air is a relatively new airline based in Reykjavik, Iceland. They’ve just announced fare sales on new routes to Iceland and beyond from Boston and Washington, D.C. starting in March 2015. I found a one-way flight from Boston to Iceland for only $99! Flights from Boston to London are only $250 one-way (including taxes and fees). These fares are even valid throughout the summer. If you’ve been thinking of traveling to Iceland or even London or Copenhagen within the next year, be sure to check out the WOW FARE SALE going on right now! The fares are likely to increase soon.
Too good to be true? Not really. Airlines often offer really cheap fares on new routes to get the word out and to fill up their new planes. Is there a catch? Yes, but it’s not a deal-breaker. The catch is, there are extra fees and charges. For example, they charge you to reserve a seat assignment. Otherwise, they assign you whatever is left. You may not get to sit with your travel companions. They charge you to check baggage, of course, but they also charge you for carry-on baggage over 11 pounds. If you’re like me and travel light anyway, or you don’t mind paying a few small fees here and there, this is the deal for you!
Last time I was in Iceland was in the middle of a blizzard in March, so I’m really tempted to go back for a long weekend this summer. $99 on-way? I mean, come on! That’s a steal. Happy Travels!
